Theatre in the park

The frog prince is showing in the park. My first theatre show...

After the show, I get to take a picture with one of the frogs...
Then I can play around near the library.
Climb anything.

And everything.
Even skip on the stones (and over them with Dad's help).

A day at home

Staying at home is fun too.
I get to do projects with mom - fruit pie for example...

In case you missed it, we first did necklaces.
I like putting beads on, and making interesting patterns.

There are of course other games to play with - elephants, trains and even workbooks...

Hot Today

So it is time for ice cream - my favorite is vanilla.
I also like eating just the cone, but lately I am starting to enjoy the ice cream as well (at least on hot days).

Another fun thing to do on hot days is go to the pool. In the afternoon Pa can also join us!
Check out my new goggles...
I am now a certified diver too!
It is hard for me to dive all the way to the bottom, but I really like trying...

Gilroy Gardens

Today we went with the Zohar family to the Gilroy Gardens. This time father joined us!
Here you can see us starting the day in a nice car ride - note the driver!

Then another ride - the duck!
I insisted on a duck and not a swan...
Mom rode a swan and took pictures.

After some snacks and a ride in a train and other adventures, we went to the hot air baloons.
I like this ride, but you need to hold on tight to your hat. Last time I did this ride I lost my hat...

And almost last but not least - ride the fish...

Time to go home

We had dinner in pescadero to sinish off the weekend.
After dinner we walked around town and found a strange tree.
In case you missed it in the previous picture here is a close-up shot.
Is it a palm? Or is it a green leafy tree?
How come this tree is still standing?

Then we stopped along the beach to watch the sunset.
Wonderful end to a wonderful weekend.

Time to get going

Everyone is helping out.
Cleaning, packing and getting ready to go.
Leilani and me help out and play by ourselves.

Then we get hiking sticks and are ready for the hike!
Sometime along they way I changed hiking sticks. My leg still pains me a bit, but I am having a lot of fun walking.
After a while, we decided to go down to the stream.
Dad went ahead to get the car, and we stayed near the creek, fishing playing in the castle and snacking.
All went well until Andy found out that his pack was on top of a yellow-jacket nest, after which we stayed far from the water. Only Andy got stung - and the bags - but Andy and Sonja rescued the bags and got to ride with us back to their car.

More games

Here you can see morning Calisthenics.
First Dad and Andy demonstrate...

Then Leilani and I try.
Afterwards the girls played trains,
While the boys played cribbage.
We all had a fun relaxed morning in the cabin.
I like camping (I still don't understand where the tent is though).

Morning at the cabin

After breakfast, we looked inside for something to do, and Sonja helped us trace letters.

Then we all played pictionary - check out the picture I took!

In fact both me and Leilani took lots of pictures - here is another example.

And here you can see the cabin with all of us after breakfast.

A-hiking we will go

At long last it is time for our camping trip.
I have been waiting all week for this. Even though my foot hurts (I jumped a bit tooooo far in the little gym) I want to go camping.
Yesterday we went to see the fireworks at Shoreline park, next to the water, and they were beutiful. Even the ducks thought they were beutiful - they all came and quacked as soon as the firewarks started.
Today we got up early and here you can see us all ready to start on our way. Leilani is joining us with Sonja and Andy so I can will have a friend along to play with - yeay!

Quite a hike, but I am still walking...

Still walking - with stories to keep me and Leilani occupied...

And then we got to the cabin after walking through the jungle (well woods really, but it looked like a jungle to me, especially after hearing the jungle book story while we were walking). On our way we had to be very careful not to touch the poison oak, but I walked all the way by myself! Now it is time for a nice snack, while we wait for the previous people to clear out of the cabin.

Taking pictures

Here I took a photo of Leilani.

And here one of Andy.

And last but not least some photos of Mom and Dad.

A little more hiking

After we all chose our rooms (well, I chose with Leilani, and everyone went along with it) we played a bit. Very exciting to be in a cabin, though I was surprised. I thought camping means we get to sleep in a tent...
Then we went to see a bit more around the area.
Right around the corner is a cool snack spot with great view.

Then we hiked some more, but I was really tired by then and my foot hurt, so Dad carried me.

We saw lots of flowers and bugs and then went back to the cabin.
Sonja lighted the fire and we all played lots of games - even pictionary!
Then it was time for some stories and go to bed.
