Goodbye Mexico, hello US

Oh my, this was a long day. I am ready to go to bed now.
We have all of our luggage, and are heading out.
This was a wonderful vacation, and I hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as I did being there...

Airport

Airport time, with many big big planes. Pretty soon we will go up on one of them.
In the meantime I can walk around and look at everything.

To the airport we go

And so it is time to take all our bags and start heading back.
This time we are the first to be picked up, which means we stop at many places along the way.
Dad got out at one of them and got us something to eat. I spent most of the time sleeping.

Last chance at the ocean

Today is our last day here.
Before we leave, it is time to go to the wonderful beach again.
Something I forgot to tell you - yesterday there was a very strong wind after lunch, so in the afternoon we went downtown (actually we had to take a taxi) to playa-del-carmen. Many new sights and sounds and smells.
And I got to run all the way down the long long long long long street.

G'night

This is it, shower is done and time to sleep.
Last item on the agenda - I need to do Mommmys' hair.

Time for bed

Before going to sleep, we do some Yoga.
Here you can see me helping Mom.

More stuff to do on the beach

With all that water around, you may think the ocean is it.
So here are some other toys I play with...
Right now Dad is watching me while Mom went snorkeling.

The big bed

In our room we have a big bed and a small bed. You can guess where I get to sleep.
I like the small bed. Actually, they did not have a crib for me, so I got a kid mattress on the floor.
Today we had a surprise after breakfast, we found ducks on the big bed.
Wow!

Balance

After lunch, it is time for games. In this case, balancing all manner of objects on the table or chair.
Balancing myself everywhere too!

big chair little me

Another nice thing about this restaurant is I got to sit at a chair like everyone.
Well, actually I got an extra pillow, but other then that it was just like everyone else.

Lunch and musac

For lunch we went outside again, and this time we found an italian restaurant that was actually pretty nice. Simple, and not on the water front, but the food was good. They also changed the music to a nice jazzy beat that was fun to hear while waiting for the food.
Oh, and they make an excellent lemonade (and the bread is pretty good too..).

New day, more water

The hotel here has a pool, and today it feels like we are the only people here (well, in the small pool anyways).
As you can see, I am negotiating with mother how much longer I can stay before we need to get out of the water for a bit.

Timeout

After a long full day, it is time to go to sleep. Mom and Dad are still eating dinner, but I need to get some sleep. There is a new and exciting day waiting for me tomorrow!!!

Our private pool

Oh my, look what I found just outside our room - a private pool just for me!
I can set the water temperature just right, so even though it is getting late, I can have fun in my private pool.

Lunch time

For lunch we decided to go out to the marina just outside the hotel. There are many restaurants here, and a fence which I can climb, and best of all, there are these BIG FISH!
Actually they are called dolphins, but that is too complicated. Big fish is easier for me, oh and sometimes when I clap my hands they jump out of the water.
Lunch itself we ate at an Italian restaurant, and we discovered that the Mexicans are not so hot at cooking Italian dishes. Oh well...

Water again, please?

I just cannot get enough of being in the ocean.

Swim Swim Swim

With a few gadgets, I can swim all by myself.

Snick Snack

Also very imporant, read a little book and eat something small. Ah the good life...

Time to dry

Wow, the ocean is just so much fun!
But now it is time to dry out a bit, put on a hat and sunglasses, and relax in my tent.

Time to try out the ocean

Now that breakfast is done, the beatiful ocean is calling us.
And of course, my little duck goes along with me all the way.

Breakfast out

Looking at the beach as I eat my scrambled eggs, what a wonderful breakfast...

On th plane

Flying takes quite a while. I got to look at the wings (did you know that airplane wings have butterflies on them?), read books, listen to music, and even talk to the stewardess.
All in all, this was the best flight I had on an airplane so far. I was not even sick :)

Up up and away

Today we fly to Mexico!
At the airport, I get a new friend. He will take care of me and make me laugh all the way to mexico...

Passover

Tonight is passover! We suddenly have a big table, and many guests will come over. And check out the frogs for all the kids!
