Valentines

It is almost Valentine day, and I am making valentines for all my friends in preschool.
I like cutting and pasting, and Mom is helping me out too!
Valentine was my favorite last year when I liked red. This year I make sure to put some blue stars as well...

Little gym finals

Little gym today is really fun, we get to show off everything we learned.
From sitting all together listening to instructions...

To moving between the stations (we are like a train)...

To actual athletics ...

Oh, and did I mention that my balance is better?

New bed

I like my new bed - it is blue!
Also, the red towel is still very nice, though the blue towel is my favorite.
I think they go well together, don't you?

New gym equipment

We have some new equipment in the little gym. My favorite - the wall, though these loops are a close second.
I am getting better on the bar as well, and am more active with the group (mostly).

Getting taller

Tonight Mom is playing engineer.
And I help by choosing blocks and testing how stable the tower can be...

Market time

A couple of fun facts about the market:
1. It is right next to the train station, so we can watch, and sometimes even go on trains.
2. Baloon man.

Cashew

With Ayla and Dalya.

After breakfast, we went looking for amusements. Along with the usual haunts - the waterfall, the tree payground and the elevator, we went to see the old pool. And guess who was waiting there to play with us... Yes, it was Cashew the dog! We then went to the playground, and ended the day at the pool.

All in all, a day well spent.

On the way home

So this is our last day here. We stopped along the way to take some pictures.

And to look at icicles - this is just a small part that broke.

And for lunch we went to Ahwannee. A really impressive place, with lots of rooms to run around and have fun in.
Then we drove home, stopping for dinner in a restaurant along the way.
Surprisingly the restaurant was quite good, and they even had baloons left over from new year, some of which they let me take :)
A lovely ending for a beutiful vacation.

Happy Birthday Dalya

Right after breakfast we had a cake, and cookies, and presents for Dalya - today is her birthday!!!
And for a special treat, we got to go on a sleigh ride afterwards, with real horses pulling.

Exciting to ride behind the horses, and they had bells on which jingled all the way...

And the best part - we stopped in the middle next to a cabin where it seemed no one stepped for days. All the snow was nice a fresh and smooth, and we could play around and climb the snow horses!
We also got some hot cider, and there was even a fire burning in the middle of the snow!
I got to throw plenty of sticks in the fire and watch them burn. Then we went back on the sleigh again.
What an exciting beginning for the day!

And another snow day

Fresh snow landed during the night. In fact, we spent last evening in the pool.
I especially liked the small whirlpool, where I pretended to be a fish - Fanasthamus!
(A very special fish, derived from the Fansta family with Poccasta patriarchal roots).

So to see some real snow, we headed up to Badger pass in the mountains.
Definitely a lot of snow, and very cold as well.
Good place to build snow trains (or snowmen if you are so inclined).
Ski lessons seem to be out as we got here too late...

Here we are trying to make snow angels, but we are still beginners...

And the views here are just so stunning, that we take another scenery shot (plenty more where this one came from, let me know if you want to see them).

A day in the snow

Going to breakfast at the Tenaya lodge, I get to walk on the snow bank almost all the way.
Nice to have boots, and somewhere to put them to good use.
It also helps to have Ayla and Dalya around for me to fool around with.

Here is my very first shot at snow sledding.
This is exciting!
And you can even slide without a sled! (As I discovered a bit later).

Everyone makes snowmen, but I like trains. So here is Thomas - of course like everything else he is covered with snow and thus white.

And here we are all together.
Snow is a lot more fun then expected.
Oh - the scenery for sledding today is right next to Wawona.

Snow is cold

At first I did not want to get out of the car, not to mention putting on all those extra layers of clothes to go to the snow.

However, after a little negotiation, I had a snack in the middle of the snow, and thereafter everything was fun!

Did you know that you can sink in snow all the way to your knees?

And here we are on the way back to the car. For your edification, I am now Thomas who was just derailed. I am waiting for Donald and Douglas, or perhaps James to come with the breakdown train to pull me back on the tracks (That would be Da if you haven't caught on to the reference yet).

Yosemite, here we come!

We start with a rather long drive, so I get to watch Thomas DVD on the way.

Then we stop to stretch our legs and see half dome. If you don't know, it is the half a mountain you can barely see in the background.

Here you can see half dome a bit better, but I think our nose kiss is much more interesting. Don't you agree?
We also had some fruits for a light snack here.

And here is a glimpse of the valley itself.
All this white stuff everywhere, not sure about it yet.
