Memorial Day
We joined Maryn and all her friends for games and fun (and food).
Daddy got to play some grown up games, and I got to play in the back yard with swings...
And the pool.
Inside Maryn has a cool toy with cars that go through a whole loop.
I like the blue car.
Here you can see me struggling with putting on my sandals. Unlike the ones last year, these sandals are really hard to put on.

Flowers and parade
Finally my flowers are flowering.
I planted them a few months ago, and watered them carefully every day. Now they are purple and yellow and red.
Just like magic...
Later we went to the Pet Parade in Los Altos. All the children from my school came, and we marched in the parade together.
Afterwards we sat on the side of the road and watched all the pets go by. Dogs and cats and frogs and chickens and turtles and rabbits and many many more...

Visiting Leilani
Today we went to visit Leilani.
After some lunch and once the rain stopped, we went down to the yard, and turns out they have a HUGE trampoline!
Check out my bat imitation.
After the trampoline, Andy made some bubbles for us.
Big ones!
We both chased them around the yard, and caught some of them too!
Then we all went down to the park, where I played castles with Leilani, and climbed many walls and rocks.
I also enjoyed the rock Xylophone they have at home, and the stories and stickers and the whole day was wonderful.
We should go camping next...

Henry Coe Backcountry
Today we are hiking the Henry Coe state park - from the other end!
Once a year the park opens up easy access to the back country.
Leilany and her family went camping there, and we met up with them when we came for our hike.
We even had a small hike together, until Leilani fell asleep on top of Andy's shoulders.
Then we went in search of the stream, and the falls (well, I was looking for fish and wanted to throw stones in the water actually).
Of course we had to stop for a snack first.
Apple for myself, tea and biscottie for Mom and Dad.
(Grandpa - the tea on the hike idea works great!)
Then I went fishing, and searching for tadpoles (some people who actually went swimming said we could find them, but I didn't actually find any).
And to finish the day off, we went to check out the ghost tunnel!
Actually we just made ghost sounds and the echoes made them sound really funny, but it was fun.
In fact I wanted to stay, but we only had a day pass, so we had to get out before the gate closed.
Maybe next year we can go camping here...
