Henry Coe Backcountry

Today we are hiking the Henry Coe state park - from the other end!
Once a year the park opens up easy access to the back country.
Leilany and her family went camping there, and we met up with them when we came for our hike.
We even had a small hike together, until Leilani fell asleep on top of Andy's shoulders.

Then we went in search of the stream, and the falls (well, I was looking for fish and wanted to throw stones in the water actually).
Of course we had to stop for a snack first.
Apple for myself, tea and biscottie for Mom and Dad.
(Grandpa - the tea on the hike idea works great!)

Then I went fishing, and searching for tadpoles (some people who actually went swimming said we could find them, but I didn't actually find any).

And to finish the day off, we went to check out the ghost tunnel!
Actually we just made ghost sounds and the echoes made them sound really funny, but it was fun.
In fact I wanted to stay, but we only had a day pass, so we had to get out before the gate closed.
Maybe next year we can go camping here...

After the hike

I was very tired and had a nap on the way back home, and you know what?
So did Leilani!
Then Andy and Leilani went to get Sonja, and they all came to visit us at home.

Check out the station and kennel we are building side by side.

And to top it off, we get a story about the mysteries of baloons, and what happens when they fly away.

Uvas Canyon

Today we decided to go to UVAS canyon, and guess who came with us...
Andy and Leilani, they even came in our car!
And so we went on a hike.
Here you can see us resting in a small cavity on the way.
In fact, we walked quite a bit, and Pa told us a story about Thomas and the 27 ducks and the 4 trees.
Hiking is much more dun with a Thomas story along.

And here we can seem some of the streams.

And so we must try check the water.
Oh, they are cold!

After roasting some marshmelos on the fire with the Zohar family, we headed back to the stream for some fishing, then went home.

Grandpa is leaving...

We are taking Grandpa to the airport today, he needs to fly back to Israel...
After we left Grandpa at the airport, we decided to check out downtown burlingame.

Turns out today is Easter, so many places are closed, but we still found a place to eat some Kebabas. And then, as we were walking along in the street, we got a phone call, and went back to the airport - Grandpa came to visit again!
Well, in fact it turns out that only his luggage managed to get on the flight, and he stayed with us for another day.
So we all went to Coyote Park together, and had a fun another day.
Have a safe flight Grandpa!

A-clim'ing we will go ...

Check it out - I am at the top!
Grandpa even took a picture...

Later we went to get me some new pants, andthey had a special display area just for me!
(At least I thought so)

Another thing I like to do at breakfast - when Dad has his big pajamas on, I play Kangaroo...

And sometimes I just like to drink my juice quietly...

Breakfast story

Usually Mom and Dad read me stories in the evening. But now that Grandpa is here I get a special treat - every day I get a new book that he brought from Israel, and he reads it to me after breakfast.
Thanks to all the people who sent me the books, and Grandpa - when are you coming to read to me again?

Today we visited the Natural History Museam in San Francisco. I liked the aquarium best. Plenty of fish in all colors (thoguh the penguins were also nifty).

Seder

It is this time of the year again, and this time I have a surprise.

First - Granda came to the Seder.

But more important, I played the recorder while everyone was singing.
Maybe next year I will sing.
We had Ayla, Dalya and Ulli (Yankin was in Japan) as well as Sasha Marina and Vlada.
Vlada even did the Afikoman treasure hunt with us (it was hidden inside Daddy's hat).

Grandapa!

We have a visitor this week. We picked up Grandpa at the airport, and here you can see us all drinking our milk (or coffee as the case may be)

Grandpa likes playing with me, and reading me stories.
He will also stay with us for passover!
