Around the house

Today was Daddy's turn to stay with me. We spent most of the day around the house, playing inside or in the yard. Mommy went to the museum in San Francisco with Jennifer. I am not so sure about art yet, although I do like all the pictures that Mommy painted, and are gracing the walls of our home. 

Vasona Park

Today after our morning hike and breakfast Mommy took me to Vasona Park. I even got to ride on the little train around the park, and play in the grass. Meanwhile Pa went to play boardgames at Kobla-Con. Pa says when I get older he will teach me how to play too. I can't wait... 

Why is the chair moving?

So I told you already that I can stand up on my own. Well, here is proof!
This is the best chair in the house, especially when father is eating. I like standing up here, except for some reason the chair wants to move away all the time. And what is this big table above my head?
Also, today at lunch Mierlle came to visit and fed me (for those who don't know, Mierlle is Jennifers' daughter and she is 5 year old, and it is a phillipino name - extra credit if you know what it means!) 

Look what grew in the garden

Standing up is so much fun... For instance, after lunch, we can go play in the back yard. With all those new vases mommy got, even I can be a tree...
Oh did I tell you yet that I can now crawl all over, and even stand up (well at least when I hold onto something I can stand up). 

A good way to start the day

Well, since everyone is up already, we might as well go hiking. This is a very good way to start the day. Walk around the neighborhood to the safeway nearby, get some fresh bread, and back home in time for breakfast.

Time to wake up already! Yes, I know it is only 5am, but I want to go hiking!

Hello everybody, and hope your week went well.
I learned to stand up on my own! Not too sure about it yet, I seem to slip alot, but I can lift myself all the way, providing there is a chair or a laundry basket to hang on to.
Here, see how well I can stand? I am taller then the basket too!

Art again...

This weekend is open studio time. I get to stay with Papa, and Mom goes to her studio and talks about her art. Oh wait, I can also come! This is my first time in the studio, and already I am the guest of honor. Well, guess I am a work of art :) 

All part of growin' up

Today I learned how to drive. It ain't all that complicated really. The only thing that I couldn't figure out are those wipers. Every time I touch them they start moving and then stop. How do I make them keep going? 

Candy?

Some kids have the sweet tooth. I discovered a rare treat. Lemon straight from the tree in our yard.
On another front, I also found first gear. I can now crawl forward as well as backwards. Perhaps it is more akin to swimming, but it gets me where I'm going so there...
Oh, and uncle Tal, you sure you never had that? From what I hear tell of your experience in china, seemed like you were heading that way :)

Home again.

There is just no place like home is there? We are all back to the regular life, and the vacation is just a happy memory.
