A day at the beach

We went to Carmel to enjoy a wonderful day. I managed to sleep for some of the drive, and then we got to the beach.

The sea and the dogs and birds are all very interesting, but I am not sure I like the sand. In fact, brushing sand off of my feet and hands is going to be my most vivid memory from this event.
After a few hours and a picnic on the beach, we went around downtown. The toy store was a lot of fun, and so was the cheese store. We ended up in a deli for dinner, and then drove home.
All in all, it was a wonderful day...
